Inside your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New and search for 'AIRRNK'. Or download the .zip directly from wordpress.org/plugins/airank and upload via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.

After activation, a Welcome to AIRRNK banner appears at the top of your admin. Click Start setup — the wizard takes three questions: your AIRRNK account, a domain to verify, and which features to enable.

If you already have an AIRRNK account, click Connect. We open a popup that OAuth-authorizes the plugin against our API — no pasting API keys into your site config. If you do not, the wizard lets you create an account without leaving WordPress.

We auto-create a verification meta tag on your homepage. The wizard detects the tag within 30 seconds and marks the site verified. Alternatively, paste a DNS TXT record into your registrar.

Three checkboxes: auto-inject schema on posts and pages, generate llms.txt at /llms.txt, and selectively allow/block AI crawlers via robots.txt. Sensible defaults on every plan — change any time from Settings → AIRRNK.
Our plugin tests against the five most recent WordPress releases. If a new major version ships a breaking hook change, we patch within 48 hours. Update to the latest plugin version via Plugins → Update. If still broken after 48 hours of a core release, message us on /contact.
As of plugin v1.0.5, we detect Yoast and Rank Math and defer to their existing schema if present. If you see duplicate FAQPage blocks, disable 'Auto-inject FAQPage' in Settings → AIRRNK → Advanced. The rest of the plugin continues working normally.
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save (no changes needed). WordPress re-flushes its rewrite rules, which picks up our /llms.txt route. If your site uses a custom .htaccess, make sure WP-generated rules are still present.
By default we only inject on posts and pages. Enable WooCommerce support in Settings → AIRRNK → Post types. We inject Product and Offer schema per product, plus BreadcrumbList on category archives.
Yes. Settings → AIRRNK → Environment lets you set a domain allow-list. Any request from a host not in the list short-circuits before injection.
The plugin is free and GPL-licensed. A paid AIRRNK subscription is required for the injection features to actually apply — the plugin on a free account is read-only (you can see what would be injected, but we don't ship it).
